Results

Project Overview
This Keystone Fuzion FZ 373 toy hauler arrived at Nations RV & Marine with a fiberglass crack running along the exterior wall at the slide-out corner, a failed slide cable mechanism, and a non-functional tank gauge that needed replacement.
The fiberglass crack was the most visible and structurally significant issue. Where the slide-out meets the main body, stress concentrations at the corner had caused the fiberglass exterior skin to crack. Water had begun intruding through the crack, causing damage to the interior wall and insulation behind the panel. Our inspection revealed that the underlying wood framing at the slide corner had also been compromised by moisture, with broken and split blocking visible when we opened up the area.
Repairing the slide corner required us to remove the exterior fiberglass panel section, replace the damaged framing and blocking, and fabricate a new fiberglass patch that matched the original body contour. We laid up fresh fiberglass to restore structural integrity, then carefully matched the original surface profile. Once the fiberglass was cured and faired, we prepped the area for paint, masked the surrounding graphics, and sprayed to match the factory finish. The original Fuzion decal graphics were carefully reinstalled over the repaired area.
The slide cable replacement involved accessing the cable drive motor and track system underneath the slide-out. The original cable had stretched and frayed, causing the slide to operate unevenly. We replaced the braided steel cable, inspected and serviced the drive motor, and routed the new cable through the guide system. The slide now operates smoothly and evenly.
For the tank gauge, we installed a new digital monitoring panel on the lower rear exterior, replacing the failed original unit. The new gauge provides accurate readings for tank levels and battery status.
The Fuzion left our facility with all three issues fully resolved — a sealed and refinished slide corner, a smooth-operating slide mechanism, and accurate tank monitoring.

The Challenge
The Fuzion had a cracked fiberglass exterior wall at the slide-out corner where stress and water intrusion had damaged the underlying wood structure. Water damage behind the slide panel had compromised insulation and interior wall materials.
Our Solution
We removed the damaged fiberglass section, replaced compromised framing at the slide corner, and fabricated a custom fiberglass patch matched to the original body contour. The repaired area was primed, painted to factory match, and the Fuzion graphics were reinstalled. The slide cable and drive mechanism were replaced, and a new digital tank gauge panel was installed on the rear exterior.
